Here we have a Star Trek movie on 8mm film. Video 8 was the first generation of 8mm cassettes, introduced in the 1980s. This format proved more popular for home video recording than for producing movies, as VHS was coming into prominence at the time, but several Star Trek movies were produced in the Video 8 format. This one was from 1986.
